The right wing dark money machine is once again going to bat for their billionaire and corporate donors. Extremist, corporate-backed dark money groups have filed amici in the pending Supreme Court case on President Biden’s student loan debt cancellation program.
The same dark money groups that are trying to influence the Court in this case have spent hundreds of millions of dollars on lobbying efforts and trying to elect extremist GOP politicians. And now they are trying to protect wealthy corporations by getting the right wing extremist Supreme Court justices to block student loan debt cancellation.
“It’s no surprise the GOP dark money apparatus is once again trying to use the power and influence they’ve purchased to protect the bottom line of corporate donors,” said End Citizens United President Tiffany Muller. “The fact that they’ve joined forces to block a historic attempt to eliminate student loan debt for millions of struggling Americans tells you everything about their agenda. This is exactly the type of corruption that is aimed at helping the wealthy and powerful at the expense of everyday Americans. We urge the Court to ignore these corporate-backed dark money groups and allow student loan debt cancellation to proceed.”
