End Citizens United // Let America Vote Action Fund President Tiffany Muller released the following statement after the leaked majority Supreme Court draft opinion overturning Roe v. Wade:
“If this leaked draft opinion is true, it is the unacceptable result of a decades-long, extremist, dark money effort to spend over three-quarters of a billion dollars to radicalize the federal judiciary, pack the Supreme Court, and push through a decision to overturn Roe v. Wade. We cannot and will not stand by while radical Justices undo fundamental reproductive rights for women across the country.
“We stand with our allies who fight every day to protect reproductive rights. We join them in calling on the Senate to end the filibuster to codify Roe, unrig the system, and protect the freedom of choice. The Senate must act, and it must act quickly.
“We will also continue to fight to elect champions who will protect our freedoms – the freedom to choose, the freedom to vote, and the freedom to have your voice heard in our democracy. We will fight for reforms that prevent radical special interests from imposing unpopular, anti-choice laws against the will of the people. We will fight and we will not relent.”
