Two recent stories detailed how state Senator Tom Barrett is doubling down on his extremist election denial and refusal to accept the 2022 election.
The Detroit Free Press reported that Barrett continues to claim the winner of the 2020 election is “unknowable” (it’s not) and refused to say if he would have voted to uphold the will of the people. Barrett then refused to tell ABC 7 in Detroit if he would accept the results of the upcoming 2022 election.
“Tom Barrett’s repeated election-denial and refusal to say if he’ll accept the will of Michigan voters this year is an extremist threat to our democracy. He is undermining faith in Michigan elections, which underscores exactly why he is too radical and too corrupt to represent the people of Michigan’s seventh district in Congress,” said End Citizens United // Let America Vote President Tiffany Muller.
