Tom Barrett’s To-Do List: Meet With Corporate Donors and Vote Against Michigan Jobs and Workers

Mar 10, 2022

This week, Tom Barrett, Republican candidate for Congress in Michigan’s 7th district, had two items on his to-do list:

  1. Fly to Washington to meet at a fancy townhouse with wealthy corporate donors.

  2. Vote in the Michigan Senate for a fifth time against 5,000 Michigan jobs and against building a new electric vehicle manufacturing plant in Eaton County.

We know that it can be difficult to continuously throw hard-working Michigan families under the bus, yet Tom Barrett keeps finding a way to do it. Doing corporate America’s bidding is hard work, but someone’s gotta do it, and Tom Barrett has stepped up when special interests needed him most.

Unlike Tom Barrett, Congresswoman Elissa Slotkin is rejecting corporate PAC money, ensuring she is accountable only to the people of Michigan, not the corporate donors who bankroll Tom Barrett. That’s why she’s spent her time in Congress fighting to protect and create Michigan jobs and put more money in the pockets of Michigan workers.
