Every step of the way, Congressional Republicans sided with the special interests — pushing an extreme MAGA agenda that costs families.

Big Pharma has blocked action to cut prescription drug costs and spent hundreds of millions of dollars lobbying Members of Congress for 20 years. President Biden and Congressional Democrats are defeating Big Pharma – finally empowering Medicare to negotiate prescription drug prices and capping seniors’ out of pocket costs for prescription drugs. They are also building on the Affordable Care Act to lower health care premiums for families.

Big profitable corporations have gotten away with paying no federal income taxes for years even as they made billions of dollars in profits. President Biden and Congressional Democrats are establishing a minimum tax, so that companies finally pay their fair share. And, no one making under $400,000 will see their taxes go up one penny.

Their extremist agenda includes taking away a woman’s right to choose – a right that was enshrined in US law for 50 years until the Supreme Court got rid of it overnight. Republican elected officials want to – and already are in some states – strip away protections even in cases of rape, incest or where the mother will die if she is forced to carry the pregnancy to term. And, they aren’t stopping there: Congressional Republicans are continuing to pursue their extreme, MAGA agenda by proposing a nationwide ban on abortion – making abortion illegal in every state in the country.

And, Congressional Republicans oppose even the most common-sense gun safety measure: banning assault weapons, which is supported by 75% of Americans, two thirds of the country.
