“End Citizens United congratulates Rep. Kyrsten Sinema on advancing to the general election. She has a record of backing bills to unrig the system in Washington by ending the corrupting influence of Big Money in politics.
“Her opponent, Congresswoman Martha McSally, has emerged from a brutal primary with a bruised reputation as a shady politician who doesn’t share Arizona’s values. Whether it’s voting to remove protections for Arizonans with preexisting conditions or supporting a tax bill that would raise Arizonans’ premiums, blow a hole in the deficit, and jeopardize Medicare and Social Security – Martha McSally has chosen the interests of her big money donors over the wellbeing and security of Arizona families time and again. And her flagrant disregard of campaign finance laws and votes against reform legislation reveal her as politician who’s out for herself and her biggest donors.
