Kulkarni is rejecting corporate PAC money
End Citizens United (ECU) today endorsed Sri Preston Kulkarni for Congress in Texas’ 22nd Congressional District. A lifelong public servant and national security expert, Kulkarni is rejecting corporate PAC money and building a people-powered campaign of small, individual donors.

Kulkarni joins a growing movement of candidates rejecting corporate PAC money throughout the country, and specifically in Texas, where Democrats in some of the state’s most competitive races are turning down this money, including Wendy Davis (TX-21), Gina Ortiz Jones (TX-23), Colin Allred (TX-32), and MJ Hegar (TX-Senate). With rapidly growing and diverse populations, Democrats are poised to be competitive in Texas in 2020. This includes Texas’ 22nd Congressional District, where incumbent Rep. Pete Olson is retiring and Beto O’Rourke came within a .6 percent margin of winning in 2018.
ECU is dedicated to getting Big Money out of politics and fixing the rigged system in Washington D.C. so government works for all Americans. The reform group has four million members nationwide, including 3,900 in TX-22, and is entirely grassroots-funded with an average donation of just $14.
