As voters head to the polls today in Georgia, End Citizens United (ECU) is highlighting Lucy McBath (GA-06) and Carolyn Bourdeaux (GA-07) and their commitment to reforming our broken campaign finance system. ECU is proud to stand with these reformers and looks forward to helping elect them to Congress.
Lucy McBath (GA-06):
A committed reformer, Lucy McBath is ready to take on the rigged system and fight to end the outsized and undue influence of big money special interest groups like the NRA. In Congress, she will support legislation like the Democracy for All Amendment, which would overturn the disastrous Citizens United decision that helped unleash a flood of money in politics.
Carolyn Bourdeaux (GA-07):
A staunch advocate for accountability and transparency, Carolyn Bourdeaux is rejecting corporate PAC money because she believes corporate special interests have far too much power in our democracy. In addition to her rejection of corporate PAC money, Bourdeaux supports bills aimed at curbing the influence of Big Money, such as the DISCLOSE Act, which would stop mega-donors from hiding their political spending.
