Governor Jay Inslee’s single-candidate super PAC, Act Now on Climate, is going to air an attack ad in Iowa during the Democratic debates. End Citizens United has called on all Democratic candidates to disavow single-candidate super PACs in their primary campaigns. Governor Inslee is the only candidate to welcome the support of a single-candidate Super PAC.
End Citizens United President Tiffany Muller released the following statement denouncing Governor Jay Inslee using his super PAC to attack fellow Democrats:
“Governor Jay Inslee is the only candidate in the race who has welcomed the support of a single candidate Super PAC and now he is the only candidate using big money to do his dirty work and attack fellow Democrats. The Democratic nominee should be chosen by voters, not a handful of special interests and wealthy donors contributing massive sums to super PACs and dark money groups. Governor Inslee should denounce this super PAC attack on his fellow Democrats and if he has something to say about his opponents, he should say it himself.”
