End Citizens United (ECU) President Tiffany Muller released the following statement on the Ohio primary results:
“No one fights harder than Sherrod Brown to unrig the system in Washington so that it works for middle-class families. He understands what politicians like Jim Renacci never will – that it’s the people who come first, not mega-donors and special interests.
“While Sherrod Brown is fighting to reform Washington, Congressman Renacci continues to look for ways around the law. This election cycle, he’s set up a straw donor scheme to escape campaign contribution limits, and as a registered lobbyist failed to disclose nearly $50,000 in campaign donations. There could not be a clearer choice for Ohioans come November.”
