End Citizens United Executive Director Tiffany Muller released the following statement in reaction to the third and final presidential debate:

“Once again, we saw the stark contrast between Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump.  In her first answer tonight, Hillary Clinton made clear that we need a Supreme Court that ‘stands on the side of the American people, not on the side of the powerful corporations and the wealthy.’ And she said that the Supreme Court should say no to Citizens United.

“Hillary Clinton has a strong, substantive, and detailed plan to reform our campaign finance system and overturn the disastrous Citizens United decision. With less than 20 days until the election, Donald Trump still has yet to propose any serious ideas to fix our campaign finance laws.  Instead, he has put his campaign into the hands of the extremist billionaire Mercer family, hired the president of the Citizens United organization, and called for a change that would allow mega-donors to use charities and churches as pass-throughs for their unaccountable ‘dark money.'”
