End Citizens United (ECU) President Tiffany Muller released the following statement on Jacky Rosen’s win in the Nevada Senate primary:
“ECU congratulates Rep. Jacky Rosen on tonight’s primary win. Unlike Sen. Dean Heller who lacks the backbone and courage to stand up to mega-donors and special interests, Jacky will be a fighter for Nevada families and work to reform the system so it works for all of us.
“Senator Heller has taken advantage of, protected, and benefitted from Washington’s rigged system — all at the expense of Nevada families. Time and time again he has sided with his special interest donors over his own constituents. That’s why we named him to ourBig Money 20, and that’s exactly why we’re going to kick him out of office.”
As part of the Big Money 20 campaign, ECU made a six-figure issue ad buy in January targeting Heller for his vote to repeal health care following pressure from party leadership and mega-donors. You can view the ads here.
