A poll of voters in New York’s 19th Congressional District commissioned by End Citizens United shows Zephyr Teachout with a three-point lead over John Faso, 44 percent to 41 percent. The poll, conducted by PPP, also shows Hillary Clinton tied with Donald Trump at 43 percent.

Teachout has positive approval ratings among voters (38-37), while Faso is underwater with them (33-40).

“Voters are responding to Zephyr Teachout’s call to fix a broken system that has been stacked against them by special interests,” Tiffany Muller, End Citizens United Executive Director, said.  “Zephyr has been a trailblazer in the fight for reform, and she will lead the effort in Congress to end the undue influence that big money has on our politics.”

The survey, which was conducted from October 23-24 included 1,218 likely voters with a margin of error of 2.8 percent.

Results of the poll can be found here.

End Citizens United, which has more than 227,000 members in New York, has endorsed Teachout, who has been a leader in the fight to overturn the Supreme Court’s Citizens United decision and end the flow of unlimited, undisclosed spending in our elections.  The grassroots-funded political action committee has also named Teachout as one of its Champions of Democracy.
