NEW ECU AD: Matt Rosendale’s Rosy Deal for Insurance Companies

Rosendale has taken tens of thousands of dollars from the insurance industry

The TV ad will air statewide from July 31-September 3

End Citizens United (ECU) today launched a new TV ad in Montana, exposing Matt Rosendale for helping to stack the deck for his donors at the expense of Montanans. The ad, titled “Rosy,” is part of a $2 million ad campaign that includes cable, broadcast TV, satellite TV, radio, and direct mail that will run from July 31 through September 3. The ad is ECU’s first general election ad of the 2018 cycle.

“Instead of fighting to lower health insurance costs for everyday Montanans, Matt Rosendale’s cozy relationship with the insurance industry got in the way. He claimed a 23 percent hike in costs was reasonable, rubber stamped it, and took big campaign checks,”said ECU President Tiffany Muller. “Matt Rosendale is running a campaign fueled and powered by special interests and mega-donors who know they can buy influence with him. We’ll continue to expose him for working to rig the system, and we’re committed to stopping him and his Big Money allies from buying this Senate seat.”

ECU has been active and engaged in Montana, which has a proud tradition of supporting good government and clean, transparent elections. In April 2017, ECU endorsed Senator Tester for re-election and has supported a series of bills introduced by Tester that would increase transparency and accountability in elections, including most recently his Senate Campaign Disclosure Parity Act.
