End Citizens United
Our Mission
To fix our democracy by getting big money out of politics and protecting the right to vote. We will work to end our rigged political system by electing reform champions, passing meaningful legislative reforms, and elevating these issues in the national conversation. We will work in partnership with these champions to overturn Citizens United, end the unlimited and undisclosed money in politics, and protect and expand the right to vote.
Diversity and inclusion are core values at End Citizens United. We strive to build a culture that welcomes, encourages, and supports the diversity of our employees. Our staff must reflect the diversity of our democracy to be effective in our goal of reforming the broken campaign finance system and protecting the right to vote. These principles drive us and encourage us to do better.
Our Plan:
- Elect Democratic candidates, to all office levels, who will put people ahead of special interest donors and champion comprehensive money in politics and democracy reform
- Pass ballot measures that will reform state campaign finance laws
- Work in partnership with reform leaders Congress and allied organizations to advocate for and pass comprehensive money in politics and democracy reform
Our Research:
Since ECU’s founding in 2015, we’ve spent considerable time and resources to understand voters views on money in politics and how America’s broken political system affects their daily lives.
Affiliated Organizations:
Electing reform champions who will fight to get big money out of politics is what we do, and we know that if we’re going to win this fight we need to more. Whether it’s working with Congress to pass legislation like the For the People Act, working with partners on the ground in key battleground states, or protecting the right to vote, End Citizens United and our affiliated organizations take the fight directly to big money and the special interests who seek to undermine our democracy.
