(New Jersey Globe) The ad, “Clean Up,” uses an image of Kim picking up trash in the U.S. Capitol after the January 6 protest, and touts his support of stronger campaign finance laws, voter rights protections, and stopping Members of Congress from trading stocks. It plugs Kim’s refusal to accept corporate PAC contributions, and in a clear reference to the indicted Democrat who currently holds the seat, Bob Menendez, uses images of gold bars and says Kim “won’t take gold bars either.”
“Congressman Kim is changing the culture of corruption in New Jersey and Washington, proving that public service can be carried out with honor and integrity,” said Tiffany Muller, the president of End Citizens United. “His commitment to safeguarding our democracy by fighting to get big money out of politics, strengthening ethics rules, and ensuring accountability is a potent message at a time when voters are concerned about the future of our democracy. We’re excited to continue our efforts in reaching out to critical voters to uplift his record and accomplishments.”
