(New Hampshire Union Leader) To underscore Pappas’s popularity among the Democratic base, End Citizens United, a group dedicated to public campaign finance reform, endorsed his Senate bid.
ECU President Tiffany Muller said Pappas has led the effort to pass anti-corruption reforms in Congress such as to ban stock trading by members and also has declined to take corporate political action committee money.
“Representative Pappas is exactly the kind of leader we need in the Senate during these perilous times. He’s never lost sight of the people he serves and he has the courage to take on the corrupt, pay-to-play system that puts wealthy donors and special interests ahead of working families,” Muller said in a statement.
