End Citizens United PAC has reserved its first 2016 independent-expenditure ads for the fall election, laying down $1.5 million in Nevada TV reservations and another $1.4 million in New Hampshire for the states’ Senate races.
The PAC has endorsed Democrats Catherine Cortez Masto in Nevada and Maggie Hassan in New Hamsphire. It’s yet another sign that End Citizens United, a new group, is pushing to be a major, multi-million dollar player in the fall campaign. The group has already aired issue ads in several Senate races.
In Nevada, the ads will air from Aug. 16 to Sept. 2 on Las Vegas and Reno broadcast and cable stations. In New Hampshire, the ads will air Aug. 16 to Aug. 29 on Boston broadcast and cable stations in a statewide buy.
“Maggie Hassan and Catherine Cortez Masto have delivered results for their states and are committed to bringing an end to the corrupting influence of unlimited, undisclosed spending in our elections,” said Tiffany Muller, the group’s executive director.
