(FOX 5 – DC) – “Where we are at right now is that the Republicans have become the party of default and dysfunction and they are using the filibuster and other loopholes to just stop anything from happening. We saw it with the January 6 bipartisan commission and we saw it on voting rights, which we obviously care very deeply about, we saw it on ending dark money, we see it right now on both keeping the government open and making sure we don’t default on our debt limit. They are just blocking everything. And look, the filibuster had 161 exceptions used in the last 40 years. I think at some point, we’re just going to have to make a decision in order to have a government that’s actually responsive to the American people and addressing the big priorities of the day, we’re going to have to make changes to the rules.”
