End Citizens United // Let America Vote President Tiffany Muller joined Wake Up with Cheddar this morning to discuss the decision yesterday by hundreds of corporations and executives to sign onto a new statement opposing “any discriminatory legislation” that would restrict Americans’ freedom to vote.
During the interview, Muller called on corporations to do more than broadly oppose the more than 361 voter suppression bills Republicans are attempting to pass around the country. Specific steps corporations can take to fight back against rampant, targeted voter suppression includes opposing specific bills being introduced in states, supporting the For the People Act to stop billionaires from buying our elections and protect Americans’ access to the ballot, and stop funding candidates and organizations leading voter suppression efforts
