It’s fitting that Congressman Lee Zeldin earned a spot at the Corruption Convention considering he’s the very best friend of corporate special interests.
He’s collected over $1.1 million from corporate PACs over the course of his career and voted for their interests, not Long Islanders’ interests, along the way. He voted to rip away protections for New Yorkers with pre-existing conditions, sided with Big Pharma over seniors when it came to making prescription drugs cheaper, and voted against the For the People Act.
His opponent, Nancy Goroff, rejects corporate PAC money and supports critical reform legislation like the For the People Act, the most sweeping anti-corruption, voting rights and ethics reform legislation since Watergate.
