End Citizens United (ECU) today released a video of 2020 Democratic presidential candidates thanking ECU’s grassroots members for their dedication to restoring our democracy. ECU and its four million members have played a central role in making anti-corruption and money in politics reform a top issue in the Democratic presidential primary. The group is helping candidates use the issue to win over voters and beat President Trump in 2020.

ECU is the first organization to raise money for multiple presidential campaigns in the Democratic primary. In the 2018 cycle, ECU raised $44 million including $9 million directly for candidates it endorsed. The group, founded in 2015, has raised more than $75 million in the last two election cycles to elect reformer leaders to Congress. ECU has not formally endorsed any candidate in the primary but is highlighting candidates for its members who have committed to making reform their first legislative priority
