ECU Adds $100k to NC-SEN Ad Campaign in Final Week of the Election

Oct 31, 2022

With just over a week to go until Election Day, and the North Carolina Senate race becoming increasingly more winnable for Cheri Beasley, End Citizens United (ECU) is adding $100,000 to its ad campaign.

Earlier in October, ECU released a $350,000 digital ad campaign highlighting how Congressman Ted Budd is an extremist politician who voted to overturn the will of the people in the 2020 election.

The North Carolina Senate race is one of the most competitive in the nation, with Cheri Beasley running neck-and-neck with Ted Budd. Just yesterday, National Journal moved North Carolina into the top 5 Senate races most likely to flip parties.

“The more voters learn about Ted Budd’s extremism and his support for violent insurrections instead of North Carolinians, they are disqualifying him as an option to represent their values. They know that Ted Budd hasn’t and won’t fight for them in Washington,” said End Citizens United // Let America Vote President Tiffany Muller.

With the additional $100,000, the ad campaign will continue to run on connected TV, streaming, programmatic video, Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube through Election Day.

Between insurrectionists and North Carolininians,

It’s clear who Ted Budd puts first.

He called violent rioters patriots, voted to overturn the election, and supports laws making it harder for people of color to vote.

Budd’s racist agenda threatens our rights.
