ECU backs 12 more challengers for U.S. House, has endorsed 137 candidates this cycle
Washington, DC — End Citizens United (ECU) today announced its latest round of House endorsements for the 2018 cycle, all of whom are committed to fighting the corrosive and corrupting influence of money in politics.
The full list of endorsed candidates includes: Mallory Hagan (AL-03), TJ Cox (CA-21), Nancy Soderberg (FL-06), Brent Welder (KS-03), Dan Feehan (MN-01), Cort VanOstran (MO-02), Xochitl Torres Small (NM-02), Gina Ortiz Jones (TX-23), MJ Hegar(TX-31), Ben McAdams (UT-04), Abigail Spanberger (VA-07), and Lisa Brown (WA-05).
“In Washington, Big Money special interests dominate the conversation and have a tight grip over too many politicians. It’s corrupting the system and leaving everyday families behind,” said ECU President Tiffany Muller. “These candidates are committed to reforming the rigged system and showing voters that they’re running to fight for them and their interests. We’re proud to endorse their campaigns and look forward to connecting our grassroots members with them.”
The endorsement will help these reformers compete with high-spending special interest groups by connecting them with ECU’s national network of 400,000 small-dollar donors. This cycle, ECU has endorsed 137 candidates for Congress and has raised over $4.1 million directly for its candidates.
ECU is an entirely grassroots-funded organization dedicated to electing members of Congress who will fight to get Big Money out of politics so Congress focuses on all of us and not only its biggest special interest donors.
