End Citizens United (ECU) and Let America Vote (LAV) President Tiffany Muller released the following statement congratulating Jon Ossoff on winning the Democratic primary for U.S. Senate in Georgia and advancing to the general election:
“Congratulations to Jon Ossoff. By rejecting corporate PAC money, Jon is building a grassroots campaign powered by Georgians, not corporate special interests. Unlike Senator David Perdue, who has taken nearly two million dollars from corporate PACs over the course of his career, Jon will fight to unrig the broken system in Washington and root out corruption. We’re proud to stand with Jon Ossoff heading into the general election.”
End Citizens United endorsed Jon Ossoff in March 2020 given his track record of fighting corruption and increasing transparency in our political system. Ossoff, who rejects donations from corporate PACs, is running a grassroots campaign powered by small-dollar donors.
In January, End Citizens United Action Fund released its first annual legislative scorecard that tracked and graded the efforts of every member of Congress on money in politics and government reform issues. Senator David Perdue received an “F” for failing to support common sense legislation that roots out corruption, increases transparency, and strengthens ethics in government.
