Davids led the charge to pass the For the People Act, a once-in-a-generation reform bill
End Citizens United (ECU) and Let America Vote (LAV) President Tiffany Muller released the following statement congratulating Congresswoman Sharice Davids on being re-elected in KS-03:
“Congratulations to Congresswoman Sharice Davids. Sharice flipped this battleground district in 2018 by running a reform-focused campaign. In Congress, she prioritized Kansans’ interests from the get-go by leading the charge to pass the For the People Act, the biggest anti-corruption, voting rights and ethics reform bill in a generation. Sharice also fought to pass legislation to restore and protect Kansans’ voting rights. Kansas families know they can rely on the Congresswoman because she proved to them every day of her first term that she’d be an accountable leader. We’re proud to support Congresswoman Sharice Davids, and we look forward to seeing her continue the incredible works she’s started.”
ECU and LAV endorsed Sharice Davids for re-election in September 2019 because of her commitment to unrig the broken system in Washington. ECU raised and donated nearly $19,000 in small dollar grassroots contributions from its members this cycle to Davids’ campaign and hosted three virtual campaign events discussing her commitment to taking on corruption in Washington and passing reforms to end the influence of Big Money and protect the right to vote. Davids, who ran on a platform of reform in both 2018 and 2020, showed leadership in the passage of the For the People Act (H.R.1). The reform group has four million members nationwide, including 7,500 in KS-03, and is entirely grassroots-funded with an average donation of just $14.
