End Citizens United (ECU) President Tiffany Muller issued the following statement congratulating Senator Jacky Rosen on being reelected to the United States Senate in Nevada:
“Congratulations to Senator Rosen on her well-deserved reelection win. Nevada voters rallied around her again because they recognize the work she has accomplished on their behalf and her commitment to putting people over profits. We look forward to continuing to support her work to root out corruption and hold corporate special interests accountable.”
ECU endorsed Rosen in March 2023 because of her commitment to fixing our broken campaign finance system and protecting voting rights. Muller also traveled to Reno to support Senator Rosen’s re-election efforts in an event highlighting Sen. Rosen’s record combating dark money.
ECU also played a pivotal role in holding Sam Brown accountable for various campaign finance violations. ECU’s first complaint alleged Brown illegitimately used a political action committee that was marketed to help elect Republicans to Congress to instead retire his old campaign debt. The second complaint alleged potential illegal coordination between Brown’s 2022 campaign and a super PAC that was set up by Brown’s top allies in his primary against Adam Laxalt. The third complaint alleged Brown blatantly accepting an illegal in-kind contribution from Duty First Nevada PAC, a super PAC established to solely support Brown’s campaign.
ECU is dedicated to combating the two biggest challenges facing our democracy: the corrosive impact of Big Money and attempts to block access to the ballot box. Since its founding in 2015, the group has had over 1 million donors and raised $200 million, with an average donation of just $14. The group has more than four million members nationwide.
