This week, we have learned that two associates of President Trump’s personal lawyer, Rudy Giuliani, were arrested for using a front company to illegally funnel foreign money to the President’s super PAC to try to win favor with the Trump administration.
“The corruption of the Trump presidency continues to display how broken our political system is,” said End Citizens United President Tiffany Muller. “The Supreme Court’s disastrous Citizens United decision opened the door for these kinds of abuses and corrupt individuals looking to curry favor with President Trump haven’t hesitated to take advantage. Our next president must prioritize reform and end the corruption that is poisoning our politics and choking our democracy.”
