ECU backs 10 more challengers, bring total endorsements for 2018 cycle to 149 candidates
Washington, DC — End Citizens United (ECU) today announced that it has endorsed a new slate of House challengers, all of whom are committed to fighting for getting Big money out of politics.
The full list of endorsed candidates includes: Sean Casten (IL-06), Betsy Londrigan (IL-13), Lauren Underwood (IL-14), Mel Hall (IN-02), Aruna Miller (MD-06), Aftab Pureval (OH-01), Theresa Gasper (OH-10), Archie Parnell (SC-05), Elaine Luria (VA-02), and Richard Ojeda (WV-03).
“Too many politicians in Washington are beholden to the Big Money special interests. They’re corrupting the system and leaving everyday Americans behind,” said ECU President Tiffany Muller. “These candidates are committed to fighting for meaningful reform so that people, not special interests, are the priorities in Congress. We’re proud to endorse their campaigns and look forward to helping them win in November.”
The endorsement will help these reformers compete with high-spending special interest groups by connecting them with ECU’s national network of 400,000 small-dollar donors. This cycle, ECU has endorsed 149 candidates for Congress and has raised over $4.1 million directly for its candidates.
ECU is an entirely grassroots-funded organization dedicated to electing members of Congress who will fight to get Big Money out of politics so Congress focuses on all of us and not only its biggest special interest donors.
