“We are excited to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month and honor the immeasurable ways the Hispanic and Latino community has enriched our nation’s culture, strengthened our economy, and protected our democracy.
“For too long, extremist Republicans and dark money groups have disproportionately targeted Hispanic and Latino Americans’ voices and votes in our democracy. Everyone deserves to have their voices heard—no matter who they are and what their background is.
“We urge the House and Senate to pass the Freedom to Vote Act to counter the anti-democracy legislation that directly targets Black and brown voters across the country and ensures every American is able to participate in our democracy.”
