End Citizens United // Let America Vote (ECU // LAV) today endorsed Janelle Stelson for Pennsylvania’s 10th Congressional District.
“After a career of hearing first-hand from working Pennsylvania families about the struggles they face, Janelle Stelson is ready to get to work in Washington and find solutions,” said End Citizens United // Let America Vote President Tiffany Muller. “While Scott Perry continually prioritizes his corporate benefactors, Janelle will work solely for the people of Pennsylvania’s 10th Congressional District. She knows that we cannot make true progress until we root out the corruption in Congress and put people ahead of dark money. We’re proud to endorse Janelle for Congress and we look forward to helping her win.”
“With the rampant corruption in Washington, it’s more important than ever that Pennsylvanians in the 10th District know there’s someone fighting for them,” said Janelle Stelson. “It’s time for a change in leadership—one that reflects the will of the people. I’ve spent my career listening to Pennsylvanians and understand what issues are most important to us. Unlike my opponent, Scott Perry, I will never put special interests ahead of our community. Democracy only works when every voice is heard—not just the wealthy elite. I’m proud to be endorsed by End Citizens United // Let America Vote and work together to get Big Money out of politics and restore power to the people.”
Stelson knows our government can never truly be a representation of the people until all voices are heard. Meanwhile, Rep. Perry has dedicated himself to being a reliable vote for corporate special interests. He has repeatedly voted against legislation that would benefit families across the district. After taking tens of thousands of dollars from Big Pharma, Rep. Perry voted against lowering the cost of prescription medications. Stelson is committed to more transparency and accountability in Washington and supports legislation like the DISCLOSE Act. She also knows that to protect our democracy, we need to protect and expand Pennsylvanians’ access to the ballot box, which is why she supports the Freedom to Vote Act and the John R. Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act.
ECU // LAV is dedicated to combating the two biggest challenges facing our democracy: the corrosive impact of Big Money and attempts to block access to the ballot box. Since its founding in 2015, the group has had over 1 million donors and raised $200 million, with an average donation of just $14. The group has more than 4 million members nationwide.
