End Citizens United // Let America Vote today endorsed Kris Mayes for Attorney General in Arizona. Mayes is refusing to take corporate PAC money in her campaign.
The endorsement is part of the group’s first-ever “Democracy Defenders” program for preeminent Attorney General and Secretary of State candidates in the 2022 cycle. These constitutional officers are critical in the fight to combat dark money-fueled restrictive voting laws being passed across the country.

“We are absolutely thrilled to endorse Kris Mayes for Attorney General,” said End Citizens United // Let America Vote President Tiffany Muller. “Kris’ record of working to deliver results for Arizona families, whether it be on the environment or holding greedy corporations accountable, makes her exceptionally qualified to be the next people’s lawyer. At a time when the freedom to vote is under attack and when corporations are gouging consumers with sky-high prices, Arizonans can trust Kris Mayes to fight back and do right by them. We look forward to helping her win this critical election.”
“I am running for Attorney General to prevent the ongoing effort in Arizona to undermine democracy. I will not hesitate, and I will never back down when it comes to protecting our most basic and fundamental right: the freedom to vote. As Attorney General, I will ensure that every eligible voter in Arizona can exercise their right to vote without any barriers or partisan politicians standing in their way. I am honored to be endorsed by End Citizens United and Let America Vote, and I look forward to our continued work together,” said Kris Mayes.
Mayes has been a champion for the people of Arizona and the environment. During her time as Corporation Commissioner, she stood up to greedy utility companies and stopped them from raising costs on Arizona consumers. Mayes also passed Arizona’s first renewable energy standard, energy efficiency standard, and solar net metering laws. Mayes has been an outspoken leader on protecting the freedom to vote in Arizona, which has been under attack by self-serving, corrupt politicians since the 2020 election. Mayes is refusing to take corporate PAC money in her campaign, so voters know she’s working for them and not corporate special interests.
