End Citizens United (ECU) / Let America Vote (LAV) today endorsed Senator Tammy Baldwin for U.S. Senate in Wisconsin. Baldwin is a leader among leaders in the fight to end the corrupting influence of Big Money in our democracy.
“Senator Baldwin has spent her career fighting against a corrupt system that favors the wealthy elite over hardworking Wisconsin families,” said ECU / LAV President Tiffany Muller. “She’s at the forefront of efforts to root out corruption and make our government accountable to the people. Her advocacy on these issues is building momentum for meaningful change that will allow Congress to tackle the issues important to Wisconsin families, like lowering the cost of prescription drugs or making an economy that works for all of us. We’re proud to endorse her and we look forward to helping her win.”
“I’m committed to making sure Wisconsin families, not just the big corporations and ultra-wealthy, have someone working for them,” said Tammy Baldwin. “Thank you to Let America Vote / End Citizens United for standing alongside me in the fight to put people first and special interests where they belong.”
Senator Baldwin has long fought to overturn the disastrous Citizens United and protect the freedom to vote. She has supported a number of reform bills, including the Freedom to Vote: John R. Lewis Act, the DISCLOSE Act, the Democracy for All Amendment, and the Spotlight Act. In 2022, Senator Baldwin received an “A” on ECU / LAV’s legislative scorecard.
ECU / LAV is dedicated to combating the two biggest challenges facing our democracy: the corrosive impact of Big Money and attempts to block access to the ballot box. Since its founding in 2015, the group has had over 1 million donors and raised $200 million, with an average donation of just $14. The group has more than four million members nationwide.
