These hearings will lay out undeniable evidence that voting rights for people of color are being targeted with surgical precision and our election administrators are facing unprecedented threats. With MAGA Republicans openly refusing to accept the results of free and fair elections, it’s more important than ever that we shore up the foundations of our democracy. We applaud Senate Democrats for their continued commitment to strengthening our democracy, and we urge imminent passage of the John R. Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act.”
