End Citizens United (ECU) today released a video highlighting Claudia Tenney’s record working for corporate special interests throughout her time in Washington. Tenney, who lost her seat to ECU-endorsed candidate Anthony Brindisi in 2018, recently announced her campaign for New York’s 22nd Congressional District.

“Claudia Tenney embodied the worst of Washington’s corruption,” said End Citizens United President Tiffany Muller. “Throughout her time in Congress, Tenney did nothing but turn a blind eye to New York families while propping up the corporate special interests that funded her campaigns. To think she’ll be any different this time around is laughable. New Yorkers deserve a representative who will fight every day for their interests, and if Claudia Tenney’s record is good for anything it’s to prove she won’t.”
In Congress, Claudia Tenney repeatedly chose corporate special interests over the needs of New Yorkers. Over the course of her political career, Tenney has taken $474,800 from corporate PACs. In 2016, Tenney campaigned against big corporate interests, but once in Congress voted for a bill to repeal provisions of Dodd-Frank that would allow big financial institutions to “escape tougher rules altogether.” Tenney also received hundreds of thousands of dollars from Wall Street over the course of her campaigns.
