End Citizens United Action Fund President Tiffany Muller released the following statement on the U.S. House vote to impeach President Trump:
“Impeachment is one of the most serious votes a member of Congress can take. Today, the U.S. House set the standard that corruption will never be tolerated in our democracy, and no one is above the law. President Trump abused his power for personal and political gain, betrayed the American people, and put our national security in jeopardy. We applaud Speaker Pelosi and the U.S. House for holding President Trump accountable and putting country over party. Members of the House who voted to impeach the President have upheld their constitutional duty. Now the Senate must do the same.”
