End Citizens United President Tiffany Muller today release a statement ahead of oral hearings in Donald Trump’s immunity case at the Supreme Court:
“In order for our democracy to survive, the rule of law must be applied equally to all. Despite Trump’s status as a former president and his deep connections to several justices, the Supreme Court has an obligation to treat this case as they would any other.
“If Trump is not held accountable, the Supreme Court will set a dangerous precedent that lets elected officials act with impunity. The justices must act with America’s best interests at heart and allow Trump to be held fully accountable. No one is above the law—even former presidents running for office again.”
