“The Republican Party is committed to undermining our democracy. From perpetuating the Big Lie, to passing numerous bills to restrict the freedom to vote, to putting in place measures to sabotage, subvert, and overturn our elections, to now officially declaring the events of January 6 to be ‘legitimate political discourse,’ the GOP has become an anti-democracy party that stands with the violent extremists who stormed our Capitol.”
