In the first television ad of his campaign, Brent Welder, End Citizens United endorsed candidate for Kansas’ 3rd Congressional District, highlights his work writing “the democratic amendment to ban corporate money from campaigns” and fighting the corrupt system in Washington.
Welder is among a wave of candidates this cycle who are refusing to take corporate PAC money in their campaigns. Many of them, including now Rep. Conor Lamb, who won a close special election, have highlighted their decision in their advertising. Already, 64 no corporate PAC candidates have won their primaries. They come from a pool of more than 150 candidates who aren’t taking corporate PAC money.
