Gorsuch would uphold rulings that have created a rigged system in Washington where the power resides with corporate interests and mega-donors
Rally, part of a National Day of Action, will call on Senator Heller to put the needs of his constituents first and vote no on Neil Gorsuch
On Saturday, April 1st, 2017, as part of a National Day of Action, End Citizens United will host a grassroots rally at the Las Vegas Federal Courthouse calling on Nevada Senator Dean Heller to oppose Judge Neil Gorsuch, President Trump’s nominee to the Supreme Court.
Gorsuch has a record of ruling in favor of corporate special interests over people. He has even ruled that corporations have the same rights as individual Americans. He is expected to join the extreme wing on the Court to form a majority that ensures the system remains rigged and continues to favor corporations and mega-donors. His confirmation would be win for corporate special interests and lead to more money and less transparency in our elections.
The rally is open to the public and part of The People’s Defense National Day of Action, which will include rallies in cities across the nation. The People’s Defense is a coalition of some of the largest grassroots groups in the country that have united to oppose Gorsuch’s nomination in a massive nationwide grassroots campaign.
Additional sponsors of the rally include: NARAL Pro-Choice America, Sierra Club Nevada, Every Voice, Demos, Battle Born Progress, and Nevadans for Judicial Progress.
Anyone in the Las Vegas area who supports getting money out of politics and fighting against the rigged system is encouraged to attend the demonstration. Questions can be sent to rallylasvegas@endcitizensun
