$2 million ad buy starts August 2; will highlight Oz’s self-serving politics
This is ECU’s first general election ad buy of the cycle
End Citizens United released its first TV ad campaign of the 2022 general election today, hitting New Jersey Republican Mehmet Oz for being out-of-touch and self-serving. The ad also emphasizes that Oz is bought and paid for by the pharmaceutical industry.
“Mehmet Oz is as New Jersey as listening to Bruce Springsteen while driving on the parkway to go down the shore. That’s exactly why he’s out-of-touch with hardworking Pennsylvanians,” said End Citizens United President Tiffany Muller. “He’s only looking out for himself. It’s important for Pennsylvania voters to know he won’t fight for them.”
The $2 million ad campaign will run on broadcast, streaming, and cable in Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, and Harrisburg from August 2 – 13.
ECU // LAV is a leading anti-corruption and voting rights group. The grassroots-funded political action committee raised and spent $65.5 million in the 2020 election cycle to elect candidates fighting to limit the influence of big money in politics and protect the freedom to vote.
Script of “Fuhgeddaboudit”
Let’s talk about Oz… not the wizard one
Dr. Oz, from (I’m a little ashamed to admit), Jersey
Running for Senate in, get this, Pennsylvania
See, Jersey Oz is just a multi-millionaire special interest
All that money and still Oz takes thousands from Big Pharma
So who do you think Oz’ll be looking out for in the Senate? C’mon!
Look, he’s a Palm Beach mansion-owning celebrity, good for him
But Dr. Oz, a Senator? For Pennsylvania?! Fuggedaboutit!
