Senator Ron Johnson today voted against a budget that gave billions of aid to the heroic people of Ukraine, reauthorized the Violence Against Women Act, made criticial investments in rebuilding our infrastruture, and gave a raise to our brave troops fighting on the frontlines to protect our freedom.
Throughout his time in the Senate, Ron Johnson has made it abundantly clear that the only thing he is fighting for is the bank accounts of his wealthy, corporate donors. From voting to give them a $2 trillion tax handout, which specifically gave a $215 million tax cut for just three of Johnson’s donors, to supporting a plan that would raise taxes on 50% of Americans, eliminate Medicare and Social Security, cancel bipartisan investments in American jobs and infrastructure, and let corporations continue their price gouging scams that raise inflation, it’s clear Senator Johnson isn’t working for the people of Wisconsin.
Senator Johnson’s vote against helping Ukraine, supporting our troops, and punishing violent criminals proves that the only thing he will support is giving more money to his wealthy backers and corporate America while taking money out of the pockets of working families.
