The Chattah Files: Sigal Chattah’s Extremism Exposed – Death Threats

Oct 14, 2022

Nevada GOP attorney general candidate Sigal Chattah is one of the most extreme politicians ever to run for office in Nevada. That’s why her fellow Republicans, including former Nevada GOP Chairwoman Amy Tarkanian, endorsed Aaron Ford for re-election. They know Chattah is too radical and too dangerous for Nevada.

As if Chattah’s extremist record, which ranges from attacking the right to choose to defending January 6, couldn’t get worse–she also makes violent and racist threats. Out of all times Chattah has expressed her extremism and conspiracies, her claim that Attorney General Aaron Ford, a Black man, should be hanged, and that she as a Yemenite Jew cannot be racist is the most dangerous and absurd.

  • April 2021: “[In reference to AG Ford] This guy should be hanging from a f*cking crane.”

  • August 2022: “He takes it as a racist comment, and to accuse me, you know, I’m a Yemenite Jew […] So, to accuse me of being a racist is ridiculous.”

    • “Um, people don’t hang people from cranes in the United States, I mean, again it was a comparison to him being like a leader of Hamas which I explained.”

Chattah’s record of racially charged comments doesn’t end at threatening the life of AG Aaron Ford. She has compared the Black Lives Matter movement to the Kill the Jews Movement, and in response to Breonna Taylor’s death, said no-knock legislation in Nevada is pointless.

  • February 2022: “[…] the main mantra for BLM and what we saw is that they intersect with the pro-palestinian movement, so its hard for me to separate the BLM movement with the Kill the Jews Movement.”

  • May 2022: “[Attorney General Aaron Ford] took two national cases and domesticated them and created two pieces of legislation essentially that patterns and practices and Breonna Taylor, you know, no-knock warrants which were both completely obsolete and really infused a national platform into Nevada.”

Nevadans need an attorney general who will be focused on protecting them and keeping communities safe, not someone whose racist extremism gets in the way of doing the job.
