In the fourth quarter of 2019, Senator Joni Ernst (R-IA) took $142,000 from corporate PACs, including $6,000 from Big Pharma. Over the course of 2019, Ernst took a whopping total of over $460,000 from corporate PACs. Ernst’s reliance on corporate PACs underscores her campaign’s lack of support from Iowans and her dependence on corporate special interests.
“Senator Ernst has worked to advance corporate special interests in Washington over Iowans. Now, in the midst of a tough reelection, Ernst is relying on them to boost her flailing campaign. Iowans know these contributions are why their voices are not heard in Washington,” said End Citizens United President Tiffany Muller.
